Big Leaguers form Spring Travel Teams

Welcome To The Big Leagues will be forming travel teams with Kadaba Sports for the upcoming spring season known as “Big Leaguers”.A 10U, 12U, and 13U will be formed immediately. These teams will be formed for the purpose of development for all participants. Older teams will be formed after the high school baseball season.

Each participant must register to play at a cost of $100.00.Each participant must purchase a hat and a uniform top for a total of $30.00.Participants will be required to pay $10.00 a game that they play in.We will play in all local USSSA tournaments staying in Lexington and Columbia areas to keep cost at a minimum.

There will be a cost for practices that are run by the professional instructors which is to be determined at the team meetings based on what each team would like to do.We will be renting fields and need to cover the cost associated with that as well as paying the instructor.

Professional instructors will run and manage the baseball practices providing a great value to all participants.Professional instructors, players, former college players and coaches will be recruited to coach these teams when available. On occasions when professionals are not available to coach, we will require the parents to coach. These coaches will be pre-determined before the year begins and these parents will assist the Head Coach during the other games.

Big Leaguers will have a roster of 20 participants. The goal is to have 12 participants available for each weekend event that is played. We will bat a continuous lineup on all occasions with no exception. We will do free substitution every inning so that a player does not sit out more than one inning at a time.

Pitchers will be held to a maximum pitch count of 75 pitches in any one game or day, maximum of 100 pitches on a weekend. If a pitcher throws more than 40 pitches in one day he will not be allowed to pitch the following day.Everyone will get the opportunity to pitch and will need to pitch. We had great success developing pitchers who were never given the opportunity to pitch on other teams.

If you play on a travel team at one age group you are welcome to play at the next age group with Big Leaguers.Participants can be on two team rosters so long as they are in different age groups. This is a good opportunity to play up with us when your regular travel team is not playing. This provides a great opportunity to develop your secondary position or learn to pitch.

Big Leaguers had over 140 participants play with them last year. All of these participants had an opportunity to develop to become better baseball players and better young men.If you are looking for an opportunity for your son to develop, get professional instruction and have some flexibility with practicing and game schedules, call Kelly Ahrens 803-260-5432 or e mail KellyAhrens5@yahoo.com.

We are raising funds for Janet Nobles, Coach Will Nobles' mother, during her fight against cancer. Donations also represent all of those who have had cancer, or had  family or loved ones with the disease. Those who have been affected by the disease know the hardships and strain it can put on family members. All donations will go directly to Janet and her fight during this time of need. Many lifestyle changes have been made, with many more to come. Over the month of December Janet will have major surgery to remove several organs, be in Intensive Care for a period of days, and be hospitalized for weeks.

Donating only takes a minute. We are praying for the best, and even if you can donate only a small amount, every bit makes a difference and we are very appreciative of everyone, whether you can help or not. If you have any questions or words of encouragement email: janetnoblescancerfund@gmail.com
